Megadeth have launched their sixteenth studio album, The Sick, the Dying… And the Useless!
The legendary thrash band’s new LP arrives after many trials and tribulations, beginning with frontman Dave Mustaine being recognized with throat most cancers again in 2019. Progress on the album was halted as he underwent remedy, and Mustaine would reveal that he was 100-percent most cancers free in February 2020.
Then the worldwide pandemic occurred, as soon as once more shelving the challenge. And then longtime bassist David Ellefson was ousted from the band after a compromising on-line sexual encounter went public. Mustaine would change Ellefson’s bass elements on the album, with Testomony’s Steve DiGiorgio re-recording the studio tracks. He then recruited former Megadeth bassist James LoMenzo to hitch Megadeth’s touring lineup, later naming him a everlasting band member.
Regardless of all of it, The Sick, the Dying… And the Useless! is lastly right here and doesn’t disappoint, as heard on the groove-filled Ice-T collab “Night time Stalkers” and singles “Soldier On!” and “We’ll Be Again.”
Megadeth are supporting the album launch on a present US tour with 5 Finger Loss of life Punch. The outing continues tonight (September 1st) in Del Valle, Texas, and runs via October fifteenth in Salt Lake Metropolis. You should purchase tickets through Ticketmaster.
