
Chicago-based Luftwerk is a creative collaboration of Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero based in 2007. The duo explores gentle, color and sound in immersive momentary installations which can be usually based mostly on the topography and historical past of the location.

Fundació Mies van der Rohe was created in 1983 by the Metropolis Council of Barcelona with the preliminary aim of rebuilding the German Pavilion designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe with Lilly Reich for the Worldwide Exhibition of Barcelona in 1929.
This system of creative interventions with architects and artists started in 1999 with Jeff Wall and has continued with Enric Miralles, Dennis Adams, Antoni Muntadas, Iñaki Bonillas, SANAA Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa, Ai Weiwei, Andrés Jaque, Anna & Eugeni Bach, and Domènec amongst others.
Lufwerk’s set up centered on the gridded plan of the pavilion, animating and highlighting the structure and altering the composition of the pavilion. To emphasise the projected gentle and to create an immersive expertise, Oriol Tarragó custom-designed sound piece for the set up.
In October, coinciding with the presently ongoing third version of the Chicago Structure Biennial, the second version of Geometry of Gentle was offered at Mies van der Rohe’s iconic Farnsworth Home in Plano, Illinois.
